Full Armadyl + Ring the gods(i) gives you +11 prayer, and +63 ranger. You need an archer ring(i) to get the same range bonus. So crystal armour with archer ring(i) is only +7 prayer and +63 ranger. Crystal armour is very squishy, which I hated. Armadyl armour is a noob trap. For a very expensive price, its ranged bonuses are miniscule compared to what ranged weapons can provide. At Hydra, Bowfa is worse than BP. I used lance until tbow. Bowfa is fkn amazing. Beats fang everywhere easily.

The dragon crossbow and Armadyl crossbow are practically the same since it all comes down to the bolts you use. The small increase in range accuracy is pretty negligible. The Armadyl crossbow's special attack won't even be useful to you since you're going to want to use a BGS to lower Vork's defense.
